Alice's Journey
Let me take you back to where it all began two years ago.
We started this journey with nothing but a game plan: to make a difference, impact lives in our communities, and promote tourism in the stunning New Ireland Province—a much-needed service in the region.
In 2022, fresh from completing the Tourism Professional Program (a scholarship fully funded by the U.S. Department of State), I returned from America full of enthusiasm, newfound knowledge, and a burning desire to turn my ideas into reality. Armed with limited experience but an abundance of charisma, determination, and the right mindset, I began building this dream.
With the support of inbound tour operators, marketing via social media, and the unwavering guidance of some incredible people—my parents, partner, family, friends, key stakeholders, and mentors both locally and abroad—I was able to navigate the challenges of starting a business. THANK YOU to all of you for being my anchors in this journey!
First and foremost, I acknowledge God as the source of all strength, knowledge, and blessings.
I also owe so much to my hardworking and supportive parents. While we don’t always see eye to eye (yes, there have been tears!), they’ve been my number-one cheerleaders, believing in my dreams and correcting me when needed. As a young woman who stepped into the business world eight years ago, their support has been my foundation.
Fast forward to today: I’m proud to announce the launch of Homestay Unit 01!
This fully serviced, air-conditioned unit measures 6m x 6m, offering a spacious retreat that can accommodate 6–8 people. We've already hosted two guests who enjoyed 3–4-day tours in Kavieng, New Ireland Province.
But we’re not stopping here—construction is underway for eight more units, set to be completed by the end of this year!
